About Lawn Primary School

Welcome to Lawn Primary School

Lawn Primary School is a ‘Good’ 1 form entry primary school in Northfleet, Kent.  The expectations for our pupils and ourselves know no bounds and we strive for excellence in all that we do.

We lay the foundations for every child to succeed. Lawn Primary offers a curriculum which engages and inspires, a diverse range of educational visits and experiences, outstanding pastoral care and high expectations, all delivered within a happy, safe and supportive environment. Our monitoring systems carefully track pupils’ progress and we ensure that targeted and personalised learning is promptly and appropriately introduced.

The views of our children are valued and listened to; pupils are actively involved in decisions about their learning and well-being. In our caring and stimulating atmosphere, students are inspired to reach their full potential - intellectually, physically, spiritually and ethically.

If you are looking for a school for your child please contact the school office to arrange a visit.

History of the School

The school was the first Board School built in Northfleet. Lawn School opened on 18th October 1886 and was extended in 1893 which also included a clocktower. The clocktower was badly damaged in the storms of 1987 and had to be demolished. The school still has one of the original three bells which also reflect our school logo.

School Organisation

The school has a nursery which offers half day places and a limited amount of 30 hour places for children aged 3 and over. The main school has one form entry with 30 children in each year group and is arranged into 3 phases, each led by an outstanding teacher.
