WELCOME TO ELM CLASS
Elm class is a specialist provision for children with SEN who are finding it difficult with the mainstream classroom setting. We offer support individually tailored for the needs of the students helping them to have a positive learning experience. Our aim is to make our class accessible to whoever we have in communicating with Makaton and using pecs, also having visuals throughout our class so that the students can feel comfortable in knowing that we can support them with their needs, even if they are not able to verbally communicate this. In Elm class we have lots of fun with sensory activities also lots of physical and hands on learning tailored to the individual student working alongside the national curriculum, adjusting the learning to the individual's needs.
Elm Class Trip to Gravesend Town
This week the children in Elm took a trip to Gravesend town to pick out their very own class hamster. The children enjoyed McDonalds for lunch and watched the boats on the river before walking back to school and setting up the cage.
