National Lockdown
The whole of England is now in National Lockdown restrictions. As was the case in March 2020, you are not allowed to leave your home apart from reasons set out in law. These include leaving your home to get food, attend or gain medical help or for daily exercise such as a run or a walk. Schools are only open to pupils of critical workers or those classed as vulnerable - more information on our school opening plans can be found here.
The Government plan to revisit these restrictions in the middle of February 2021.
If you have a smart phone (such as an Apple iPhone or Android device) then please think about downloading and using the free NHS COVID-19 App. This provides free and fully anonymous systems to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 as well as provide the latest information to your phone. It is now available in many community languages too.
Delayed start to the Spring Term 2021
The Government announced today (Weds 30th December), that in order to help contain the community transmission of Coronavirus, some restrictions to primary education settings are required in certain areas. It has now been made clear that Gravesham schools, including Lawn, will not be reopening on Wednesday 6th January (the day after our 2 inset days), for all children as planned. The accompanying guidance shares the Government's advice for schools to act on as they can within their setting.
It seems unlikely at this stage that any schools in Gravesham will reopen before February Half Term and parents should plan on this basis. More updates will follow on this page so please check back when you can. Please stay safe and well and thank you for your support during these challenging times.
