If you are looking to request admission to or transfer between schools during the school year, you will need to apply to the school directly using the In Year Admission Form. For further information please use the link below:
Children born between 1st September 2022 and 31st August 2023 will be due to start reception in September 2027 and you will need to apply for your child's place. The online application process opens on Friday 6th November 2026 and will close on Friday 15th January 2027 and can only be made online.
Go to www.kent.gov.uk/primaryadmissions to register and apply.
You can apply for up to 3 schools:
• Put the schools in order of preference.
• It’s in your best interest to list 3 schools; naming only one school does not guarantee your child a place at that school or give your child priority for a place over another child.
• You are not able to name the same school more than once.
National Offer Day is Friday 16th April 2027 and you will receive an email naming the school that your child has been offered.
You can find all the information you need by using the links on this page but please contact the school office if you need any help.
You will need to respond to your offer, either accept or refuse the place. If you are accepting the offer you will need to provide evidence to support your application.
Details can be found here:

From 1st September 2026, Kent Admissions are introducing a new digital form for In Year admissions that will be replacing the old paper form. This is to align with current Coordinated Admissions and existing Fair Access processes around applications including providing improved data to schools and giving parents an efficient and updated approach to applying.
Families who have completed the current paper based form over the summer will still be processed in the usual way and will not be asked to submit an online application.
PLEASE NOTE: From 1st October 2026, paper copies of the IYAF will not be accepted and parents will be asked to complete an online application.
The new In Year Application form (IYAF) can be found here, and will be available on the Kent Admissions website: www.kent.gov.uk/inyearadmission
Once you have completed your online application form, it will be sent to the school directly for processing in the usual way. You will hear from us within 10-15 school days.
We warmly welcome prospective parents to visit Lawn Primary School and join one of our school tours. It is a lovely way to get a feel for our school and see the children. All applicants will be asked to attend a tour prior to joining the school.
You will meet with a member of our Senior Leadership Team who will be happy to show you around our school and answer any questions that you may have.
